2015/03/083月8日 なつめがJATを卒業しました！
なつめは兄弟3匹、「夏実」「夏希」とともに、と生後3ヶ月の頃まで野良暮らしをしていたところを保護されてきた子です。
Hi, I'm Natsume, I was taken to Happy House along with my siblings, Natsumi and Natsuki, at the age of about 3 months when we were found homeless.
とっても怖がりさんで、人との暮らし、を知ってもらうためにしばらくはスタッフが毎晩お家に連れ帰り、先住のワンコたちや家族のみんなに色々なことを教えてもらいました。
Because we didn't know human, we were at first very cautious and timid, so one of the staff members took us home after work in order for us to get used to other dogs, new environment, etc.
そんな中、なつめの一番控えめで他の子にご飯を取られてもうんともすんとも言えない性格に心奪われたご夫婦がお声かけくださいました。
I'm the most introvert one of the three, and this couple took notice of me for my shyness.
ビビリさんだったため何度か通っていただいた上で、去勢手術までの間の2ヶ月をお家で過ごすことになりました。
They understood my timid nature and came to Happy House several times to see me before actually taking me home for two-month trial (until the time they could have a neutering operation on me.)
この度、去勢手術を終えてお家に戻ってきたなつめ。エリザベスカラーがなつめの動きを封じ込めます。
Now I'm neutered, and can be their official pet!

手術頑張ったんだし、とりあえず一緒に居るときは舐めないように見張りながら、取っ払うことになりました。
They took it off, observing that I wouldn't lick the wound.
じゃん。男前のなつめ再来。 Here's me, looking handsome.
なつめの夜はサークルです。最近、自ら寝る時間には入っていくようになったそうです。
上部に１本通っている棒、これがある、ない、でなつめは外に出ないようです。
ちなみになつめがサークルに入ったあとに、
これ、が置かれます（笑）
I sleep in the cage at night.
They put a bar on it after I get in. For some reason, I don't feel like getting out when the bar is placed on.
（そう）とは、なつめの新しい名前。
They have given me a new name, Soh.
長い時間オシッコ我慢してたんだな~というぐらい、長いおトイレをしていました。
This is me, I had to use the toilet after the operation.
おかあさ～ん！僕、頑張ってきたよー！！って感じでした（笑）
"Mom!! I'm back!! Did you miss me?"
実は、なつめにとっては全てが初めてで、怖くて、なかなか慣れられないものばかり。
To me, everything is new, and some unknown things can scare me...
最初のうちは、なつめがおしっこをしたかどうか、など全てカレンダーに記入してくださっていたようです。
すごい！！
When I started living with them, they kept a record if I had used the toilet, eaten properly, etc., each day.
お家の中でも、リビングでまず落ち着けるようになるのに幾らかの時間を費やし、
2ヶ月かかってやっと、キッチンののれんを「何してるの？」とのぞくことができるようになったようです。
お散歩なんかなつめにとっては怖いだけのもの。
でも、少しずつでも好きになってもらいたいから、楽しいお散歩を知ってもらえるように時間をかけてしてもらいました。
でも、今でも出る時は抱っこで、なるべく遠くまで行き、さぁ帰ろうかという場所でおろす、するとなつめは「お家に帰るための散歩」を始める、そんな感じのようです（笑）
やっと自分のお家が見え出すと、安心するのか、本当のお散歩をするようです。
After two months, I can now relax in the living room, and visit the kitchen to see what Mom is doing.
Still, walking outside is scary to me, but they are very patient with me.
They take me in their arms to a distant location, put me on the ground, and that's how I am motivated to walk home.
When my place is in sight, I finally feel like enjoying the walk.
お家には先住猫さんが2匹。
They have two cats.
お父さんが頑張って同じ部屋に誘導してくれましたが、やはりこの距離が限界。
奥に写っている猫さん、わかりますか？？
Dad tried to help me say "Hi" to them, but I couldn't get near the cat,
Can you see it in the above picture? (it's in front of the door.)
もう一人は棚の上から永遠と様子見。
And the other one was looking from above.
なつめは仲良くしたくて仕方ないけど、やっぱり体が大きいのでネコさんたちは遠巻きに見守ってくれている感じだそうです。
Well, I wish I could be a friend with them, but cats are very cautious about dogs, you know.

Sometimes, we can be this close...
たまーになつめはネコさんと遊びたくて、コタツの周りを二匹でぐるぐる回っているようです（笑）
しかも、ネコさんが逃げるのをやめてコタツに隠れてしまうと、なつめは毎回とんでもなく驚くようで･･･「消えた!ネコさん消えた！」と探し回るんですって。
なんと素敵な･･･毎回してくれるところがまた可愛いですね。
コタツの座椅子、ご夫婦のどちらかがいつも座っているのですが、なつめにとっても特等席のようです。
It's fun to play hide and seek around the kotatsu, but they really DO disappear!!
I don't know how they do it.
I love this legless chair...it belongs to Dad and Mom, but I'm allowed to use it.
誰もいなければ必ずそこでくつろいでいて、人間が戻ってくるとサッと譲ってくれる。
優しい子ですね。
I know when they want to sit on this chair, so I'll give it up every time they come.
I'm very nice.
小さな発見、小さな進歩、小さな笑い、他のワンコより多くの時間をかけてなつめは成長しています。
With every little discovery, progress, and joy, I'm growing little by little.
それにご夫婦はとても幸せだと仰ってくださっています。
And my Dad and Mom just LOVE me.
なつめもそれが分かっていて、だから安心して家族として暮らせるのですね。

It's amazing to think that I, who once was a street dog, am feeling secure and living with people.
名前はなつめから蒼（そう）くんになりました！
