2015/03/143月14日花火はJATを卒業しました！

花火は生後２ヶ月ぐらいの小さい仔猫の頃、兄弟と共に捨てられていた子です。

保護当初より風邪をこじらせていて、目が腫れたりをよく繰り返していた子です。

Hi, I'm Hanabi, I was abandoned with my siblings at the age of about two months, and we were taken to Happy House.

I had a bad cold at the time, and had puffy eyes over and over.

この度、たくさんのワンコと３匹の猫さんと２匹の亀さんがいる大家族に新入りさんとして迎えていただくことになりました。

１００匹近くいる薫ちゃんハウスの中から選ばれた花火。

きっとこれこそがご縁だと思います。

I was really lucky to be found by this family, who already had many dogs, three cats, and two turtles.

They chose me from among about 100 cats...I think that was our destiny.

送迎当日も少し目を腫らしながら、でも、長時間の移動の先に待っているはずの幸せに胸を躍らせながら（たぶん）、車の中では終始おしゃべりしていました。

I had a little swollen eyes on my adoption day, but was really looking forward to settling down in my new place, chatting all along the way.

お家につくと、意外に隠れたりすることもなく、先住の１８歳の猫さん（この子がすごい、全く何にも動じない、ずっとゴロゴロ言ってました（笑））に寄り添ったり、暖かい猫専用コタツを探検したり。

Upon arrival, one of their existing cats greeted me with an open heart, purring and showing me around...it was a very warm and welcoming gesture:)

１８年生きてきた中でいろんなことを達観したような穏やかな先輩猫さんの存在は、花火にとって心落ち着く存在のようでした。

She's 18 years old, her all-knowing smile helped me feel safe.

他の２匹の先住猫さんは、やはり姿さえ見せていただけませんでした（汗）

普通は、そうですよね。この子が例外です（笑）、ほんと、素敵な子でした。

The other two didn't show up, but I didn't take it personally, that's a normal cat reaction.

今日会えなかった他の２匹の先輩猫さんたちの花火に対する反応がわかるまでは、しばらくはゲージに入れてもらい、様子を見てくださるとのことでした。

It has been arranged that I would stay in the cage until the other two would get used to my presence.

スムーズにゲージにも入り、 I don't mind being in the cage.

早速用を足していました。我慢してたんだね。

送迎当日も目が腫れていて、早速病院に連れて行って下さり、目に傷があることがわかり・・・

ちゃんと見つけてくださり、対応してくださり、有難うございました。

しっかりと健康管理をしてくださるご家族で、安心です。

I went straight to the litter box...

Worried about my swollen eyes, my family took me to a vet, who found that I had an eye indury...but they'll take care of it. It's good to know that I have someone who really cares about me:)

１階ではワンコ達が「何か来た？」「誰？」「会わせてよ」と口々に話している感じでした。

While I was exploring the new place, the dogs were very excited, saying "Who's there?" "Someone new?!" "When do we get to see her?"

他にもたくさんのワンコ達がいました。

にぎやかで、でもみんな楽しそうで、いつか花火もみんなと仲良くできる日が来ると、きっともっと楽しいだろうな~と思いました。

でも、基本的にワンコは１階、猫達は２階、（あっ亀さんズは１階）という住み分けがされています。

They are noisy and nice fellows, but basically, we, the cats, live on the second floor, and the dogs (and the turtles) on the first floor, so we won't mix up.

まだ生まれて１年も経っていない花火にとって、これから長い猫生を暮らすことになる新しいお家。

明日から全てが新しい、きっと楽しい毎日を送らせてもらえるね。

I'm not even one year old yet, and have looong years to live.

I'm going to have a wonderful life here, with people and cats who love me very much:)
